Introducing Ariel, spirit of the air.

Ariel, a two year old butterfly dog, arrived on the island last Thursday. She is seen napping–doubtless because of all the excitement (mostly mine!). This is her new home.

Hast thou, spirit, Perform’d to point the tempest that I bade thee? (this too may explain the tiredness!)

    • Thank you, Katleen. She is, for me, a sweet dream (with tiny little teeth, hair of silk, and an infectious personality).

  3. I am so glad that you finally got ariel. I was a bit worried since I noted that you had not commented on anything. She is a beautiful dog. I know you will love her as you did your other butterfly. But she will be loved in a different way while you still hold the memories of the one before her, deep in your heart.

I hope you will post pics of her at intevals. I would love to see her photos. She is too pretty not to share her image with your viewers. This is a very good photo Now you are a dog photographer.

  4. Prospero, I failed to capitalize her name. Will you edit my comment and fix it. Then you can delete this comment or not. What ever suits your fancy.

    • Yvonne, I am not terribly concerned about capitals right now… I’m just so happy to have my pocket-sized dog. She is wonderful in every way and sticks to me like mānuka honey (and for this I am truly grateful).

      • LIttle Ariel, I believe, knows she is in your home to stay. Also, she needed you as much as you needed her. Dogs possess intuition just as some people can feel vibes- good or bad. Ariel sensed your sorrow and she is sticking to you as honey to show her love. You and Ariel are a good match. I imagine it was almost instant bonding. I am so glad and so happy for you.

      • You are right, Yvonne–she knows this is home. I may be coining a term, but I call it ‘speed-bonding.’

  5. finally!!!!!!!!!!!!

the celebrations, here and everywhere, should last for at least one week, as it always happens in fairy tales 🙂

    • Only a week! That’s hardly time to have the fireworks and begin the hundred strong (including men, some of whom are dwarfs, women, and children) pantomine of the origins of life, starting several eyeblinks before the big bang.
