  1. I have just discovered an entry that I missed. Green against the blue sky makes this an unusual picture. The bloom stalk appears to be bursting with buds- but I am not sure. Since I am not familiar with your exotic flowers pehaps I have it all backwards. I have looked again and I think it is getting ready to blossom.

    • This is a detail of the inchoate inflorescence of a Swan’s Neck agave. The raceme is ten feet tall and, at maturity, develops greenish-yellow flowers.
